In 1993, the Turkey Foundation for Environmental Education (TÜRÇEV) has registered the most beatufil beaches with BLUE FLAG under the leadership of the Ministry of Tourism by starting the Blue Flag Program. Karaburun has 3 Blue Flag Beaches, name as Bodrum Beach, Kuyucak Beach and Akvaryum Beach.
